What is CheckID Enhanced Security?
CheckID Enhanced Security is an online security feature that provides an additional layer of protection from fraud and identity theft by preventing unauthorized access to your secure financial information. CheckID Enhanced Security uses technology to verify your identity.

Why do I need to use CheckID Enhanced Security?
CheckID Enhanced Security will allow us to recognize you as the true owner of your account by recognizing not only your login information but also your computer. If we don't recognize your computer, we will request additional information that is known by only you to ensure authorized access to online banking.

How does CheckID Enhanced Security work?
You will need to add extra security to each computer that you use for online banking. This can be done easily from the CheckID Enhanced Security Options page located within User Options. Whenever you login from a computer that you have added extra security to, you will automatically have the additional protection, and will notice no difference in the way you login. However if you login from a different computer than the one(s) you have added, you will be asked to enter a passcode or answer your challenege questions in order to login to online banking.

Please note that if you use multiple browsers within the same computer you will need to add extra security to each browser separately. In order to do this you will need to log in with the additional browser that you would like to add extra security protection to.

How do I setup extra security for my computer?
If you are not setup for login security, you will be presented with the CheckID Enhanced Security Setup screen where you can select your preferred methods of receiving passcodes. Otherwise, you can go to the User Options page and select the CheckID Enhanced Security link.

Challenge Questions. This option allows you to answer the personal challenge questions that you have setup. Or you can select the question you want from each drop-down field and enter the answer in the associated Answer field. (Make sure you select questions and answers that you will remember and that only you know.)

My Computers. There are several options available in this section. Apply extra security. Select the top checkbox to apply extra security if your account is accessed from an unrecognized computer. This Computer. Identifies the computer that is currently being used: Select "Yes" if it is your private computer; select "No" if it is a public computer. Reset all computers. You also have the option of resetting the security level for all of your private computers so that extra security (OTP or challenge questions) is used at login.

What will adding extra security protection do for me?
Adding extra security protection to your computer allows us to recognize your computer along with your normal login information, which helps add additional protection from unauthorized access to your online banking account. If someone were to get your login information and try to access your account from their computer, having extra security protection will stop them from gaining access because they will be asked to enter a passcode that will only be sent to you.

What can I do to make logging in easy?
To make your login into Online Banking easy, we recommend that you add extra security protection to each computer that you will regularly use to access your Online Banking account (see "How do I setup extra security for my computer?" above). Remember that until you add extra security to a computer that we will ask you to enter a passcode that is only sent to you (or you can use your challenge questions) to access online banking.

What will happen if I remove extra security protection from this computer?
If you remove extra security protection from this computer, all future logins from this computer will require you to enter a passcode or answer your challenge questions each time you login to online banking.

To remove extra security protection from this computer, go to the User Options page and select the CheckID Enhanced Security link. Click the checkbox that says "Reset all of my other computers to require extra security on login." and then click the Save button. We only recommend that you remove extra security protection if you will no longer be using that computer to regularly access online banking.

How does CheckID Enhanced Security protect me?
CheckID Enhanced Security allows us to know that it's really you logging into your account. We know it's you because we recognize your computer AND your login information. If we do not recognize your computer, then you will be asked for additional information that is known by only you.

Can I login from multiple computers and browsers?
Yes, you can login from as many different computers and browsers as you like. If you login from a computer that you haven't added extra security to, you will be asked for additional information (a one-time passcode or your challenge questions) so that we can verify that it's really you. If you provide this information correctly, you will have the option to add extra security to that computer in order to avoid being asked for this extra information again.

Please note that if you use multiple browsers within the same computer you will need to enroll each browser separately.

Can I still login to my account from anywhere?
Yes, this feature does not prevent you from logging in from any computer. If we do not recognize the computer that you are using then we will simply ask for additional information that only you know (a one-time passcode or your challenge questions) before allowing you access to online banking.

What should I do if I do not want to use a computer that I have previously added extra security to?
If you no longer plan on using a computer (that has extra security added) to access your online banking account, you can remove the extra security from that computer. To remove it, go to the User Options page and select the CheckID Enhanced Security link. Click the checkbox that says "Reset all of my other computers to require extra security on login." and then click the Save button. If anyone attempts to login to your online banking account from that computer, extra information will be required before access is granted.

Can I still use my challenge questions?
Yes you can. Answering the questions correctly will enable you to access your online banking account. Note: You also have the opportunity to change your existing challenge questions or set up completely new ones if you want.

How do I change or delete a phone number or email address used to receive one-time passcodes?

Go to the User Options page and select the CheckID Enhanced Security link and scroll down to the section you want.

How can I get an email OTP if I am already online using Internet Banking?
Just open a new browser window open the program (Yahoo, Google, etc.) where you have the email address that you setup to receive a one-time passcode. The system will then send the OTP to the email address you have selected.
