Arizona State Credit Union Brings Shred-a-Thon to Prescott
Fourth year of Shred-a-Thon event helps community members protect information
PHOENIX, Ariz. – Arizona State Credit Union invites you to the Credit Union’s Prescott Gail Gardner Way branch for a second opportunity to shred sensitive materials. This will give members of the Prescott community a chance to shred their personal documents free of charge.
The Credit Union’s Prescott branch is the seventh of eight stops on the Shred-a-Thon tour. Community members are encouraged to bring their sensitive documents from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10. This event encourages awareness about the importance of protecting personal information to safeguard against identity theft and financial schemes.
“This is our fourth year offering shred events to better serve our local communities,” said David E. Doss, President/CEO of Arizona State Credit Union. “At Arizona State Credit Union, we are committed to supporting green initiatives, like the Shred-a-Thon, as part of our sustainable business model.”
At the Credit Union’s August shred event in Payson, residents brought 3,890 pounds of documents to be shredded and recycled. This equates to saving nearly 30 trees.
Important documents to bring to the Shred-a-Thons include bank statements, tax returns, medical bills, credit card statements and other personal documents. Members and non-members can also receive $150 when they open a qualifying checking account. Visit azstcu.org/shred for additional details.
Shred-a-Thons will be hosted at Northern Arizona Credit Union branches from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. They are free and open to all members of the community, with a limit of five boxes per person. Below is a list of remaining branches and dates:
- Prescott Gail Gardner Way - Tuesday, September 10
